Protip: If you go to a Chinese restaurant
that has a dim sum menu, ignore the regular Chinese food menu and go straight
for that. Trust me.
For those of you confused and unaware of
what’s going on, dim sum is a series of smaller dishes, usually ordered from a
card at the table, where you get to try a collection of small-portioned fresh
made foods that make up a meal. If you’ve been to a Chinese buffet, it’s a bit
similar except they bring the food to you and it’s generally better (how great
is this sounding?). Little dumplings, rice wrapped in a lotus leaf, steamed
meats covered in amazing sauces, these are the things you should expect from a
dim sum menu. So why am I letting you all in on this secret? I was recently at
Regal Palace and noticed people ordering off the regular lunch menu (wrong) and
came here to tell you all the benefits of ordering from the dim sum menu
(right).
What protips do you guys have when it comes
to food? Let me know so I can impress all my friends next time we go out!
