Okay everyone, gather ‘round because it’s
story time. I’m always down for trying new fast food places, especially when
they have the renown of Five Guys. When I heard one was opening up by where my
sister goes to school, I knew I had to stop in and try it. I wasn’t
disappointed.
A quick word of advice; at Five Guys a
‘small’ is what most people would consider a ‘regular’. If you walk in and
simply order a burger, it’ll have two patties. Order a small to get one patty,
you’ve been warned. Anyways, back to the fun! Once your order is all prepared
they do something I can really only describe as magical, they pour fries as a
‘topper’ over the entirety of your wrapped up burgers and fries to keep them
warm. Magical wasn’t too strong a word was it? I sat down to eat and found the
best tactic to tackle this behemoth amount of food before me was to just rip
the bag open and start eating my way to the food I ordered. Another word of
advice might be to only go to Five Guys if you’re REALLY hungry. To summarize
though, the burger was good, the fries were great (albeit numerous), and there
were free refills and peanuts!
